What sets a yoga practice apart from any other physical activity is the use of the breath. Coordinating breath and movement creates and idea foundation for the mind and body to sync. Expect to flow continuously from pose to pose with ample time at the end of practice to relax in savasana. This class is appropriate for all levels.

Wednesday // Gentle Flow (9-10a) @ Dance Loft on 14

Yoga is often thought of synonymously with stretching. While maintaining flexibility of the muscles and mobility of the spine is an important aspect of the practice, strengthening and stabilizing joints is imperative for physical health as well. This class is designed to slowly move through both strengthening and opening postures to better balance the body. This class is appropriate for all levels.

Friday // Honey Flow (7-8p) @ Dance Loft on 14

Yoga chitta vritti nirodha. Sanskrit, say what? This opening statement in Patanjali's Yoga Sutras tells us that yoga is the cessation of the catter in our minds. If only it were that easy though, right? In this 60 minute all levels practice, we will begin with a quick paced and fiery flow to burn off the energy built up in our minds and bodies from the week. Throughout the second half of this practice, expect yummy yin yoga poses (gentle, held stretches) combined with a few minutes of yoga nidra (guided relaxation) before a nice long drop into savasana. This class, appropriate for all levels, is the ideal combination of work and chill time.

Saturday // cOMmunity Yoga Class (9:15-10:15a) @ Embrace Yoga

This flowing open level vinyasa yoga class is an expression of love to the Embrace community. Dive in, flow and celebrate life with some of the Embrace Your Flow teachers and friends! Open to all levels. This class is free, so please consider registering in advance as it fills quickly.
